Knowledge Gained

Every day as a practicum student at Elder Help Peel, much knowledge is gained. Proper phone etiquette is essential every day from right in the morning when the practicum begins at 9 am, until 4 pm when the practicum ends. The ability to communicate well with the elderly is also important and essential. Being creative, and having the ability to come up with new and out-of-the-box ideas is also a branch of knowledge and a learned and developed skill, that is very essential as a practicum student at Elder Help Peel.

Learning how to best help seniors, requires outreach efforts, and research of community partners, along with conversations with people from organizations that also help and assist the elderly. How best to get in contact with such organizations is essential knowledge that is gained as a practicum student every day, at Elder Help Peel.
